‘STEP OUT’ on Yorkshire Day - 1st August 2019
Thank you for your enquiry about our 5k Sponsored Walk. This event is all about promoting good health and wellbeing and to support our own Wellbeing Service which helps local people with the emotional and physical effects of cancer, through counselling, complementary therapies and group work.
Did you know?
- Cancer Support is an independent charity.
- We help patients, carers and their families with the practical, financial and emotional effects of a cancer diagnosis.
- Thousands of people benefit, every year, from our services which are FREE.
This is costly and would not be possible without the kind donations we receive and also the support of our events.
We want our ‘Step Out’ walk to be a FUN experience for everyone so, as the charity was established in 1988, 80’s Fancy Dress is encouraged but optional. However, whatever you may decide to wear, sensible footwear is absolutely essential.
The walk will start from Cottingley Community Centre, Littlelands, Bingley BD16 1AL
- Registration 7.00pm – 7.20pm
- Warm up session approx. 7.20pm – 7.30pm
- Start of walk – approx. 7.30pm – Bottled water will be provided.
- Finish – approx. 9.00pm
- Presentation of medals will conclude the evening.
Event registration fee is £5.00 per person. This will cover the cost of admin and medals.
We would be grateful if all participants would please try to raise a minimum of just £30.00 in sponsorship. This amount would cover the cost of providing someone with a counselling or complementary session from our Wellbeing Team.
Your participation in the walk, would very much appreciated. To register, complete the enclosed registration form and return it to the address below with your registration fee. Cheque payments payable to Cancer Support Yorkshire please or call 01274 202226 to pay by debit card.
On line registration is available at www.csyorkshire.org.uk ?????
Details of how to set up a Just Giving Fundraising Page and sponsorship forms (if needed) will be given on receipt of registration.
Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
